Mesa College Women’s Swimming and Diving Team Captures Second Place at State Championships

San Diego, CA. – Today, San Diego Mesa College announced that the Mesa Women’s Swimming and Diving team finished second at the State Championships this past weekend. This is the highest finish in program history.

 

The team captured 2 team relay events; 400 Free Relay (Sam Schmidt, Andy Mill, Victorianna Gonzalez, Anna Stahlak) and 800 Free Relay (Stahlak, Mill, Anya Lavoie, Schmidt) both in school record times. Individually, Anna Stahlak won both the 100 Free and 200 Free state titles, both in school record times.

“We couldn’t be more proud of our student-athletes,” stated President Pamela Luster. “As you can see, our students excel both in and out of the water.”
