Madeleine Hinkes has an extensive history in the field of anthropology, which has taken her around the country and to Southeast Asia. In addition to obtaining a Ph.D. in the field, she has worked professionally as a forensic anthropologist. She has served as the consultant to the San Diego Medical Examiner's Office since 1994.
Her current role at San Diego Mesa College is the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness. Before that, she was a professor of Anthropology.
