Please follow all instructions completely and carefully.
Four-Step Logon
- Click the "Live Online Tutor" icon to the right. The next screen will ask for a user name. Type "student" without the quotation marks and "welcome" as the password.
- After that, another logon prompt will appear, and you'll need to type your actual name and email address.
- Click on "Join Live Tutorial."
- Then click on the name of the tutor you see, which you should see during our open hours.
Be Ready
Please have the writing you need help with open on your computer and be ready to type your CSID student identification number when we ask you for it. Also be ready to copy and paste your piece of writing to the white space on the "Live Tutorial" web page when we start working with you.
What we do and do not do
We assist the writer with his or her focus, organization, and style. If needed, we may suggest strategies for starting, revising, and clarifying an assignment. We may also comment on obvious spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. But we do not rewrite papers, proofread papers, copy-edit papers, discuss grades, or comment on a professor or that professor's assignment.
