Students must have an application on file and possess a college student I.D. number in order to attend a testing session, new student orientation, and first semester planning workshop. You may stop by I4-201 or call (619) 388-2718 or email the testing staff at firstname.lastname@example.org to check availability or to see which matriculation components you may need to complete.
Students can check in at the Testing Office, room I4-201, to take their exams anytime during office hours. These exams are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and there may be a wait depending on demand. Photo ID is required of all students at check-in.
**Please plan ahead: Allow adequate time to complete the assessment tests. Students usually need around 1 hour per test. If you are planning to take both subjects, please arrive at least two (2) hours before our scheduled closing time. For a single subject, please arrive at least one (1) hour prior to closing.
New Students: If this will be your first time attending any college, be sure that you follow the five steps outlined on the New Student Welcome page and keep track of your progress using the New Student Checklist. You must complete the Online Orientation prior to your assessment. If you plan to complete the Orientation in our office, please ensure that you have about 2 hours available. You will be asked to provide the orientation completion page when you check in for an exam. Please be sure to bring this form with you. Following the exams, you will be asked to complete the First Semester Planning Workshop.
These exams are available by appointment only. Please contact the Testing Office to check availability.
Arrive early! Check-in begins 15 minutes before the appointed start time. If you miss your scheduled appointment or arrive late, contact the Testing office to reschedule.
