Ms. Gonzalez received a B.A. in Sociology at California State University, San Marcos, and an M.A. in Educational Counseling at San Diego State University. She has been an adjunct instructor at San Diego State University, where she has taught counseling and school psychology and has served as a supervisor for students in a practicum at the university. She has been an adjunct counselor at Mesa College since 1997 and, prior to that, she was an adjunct counselor at Southwestern College.
Ms. Gonzalez has a wide range of experience in all aspects of the profession: student registration advisement, orientation, testing, teaching, and supervision. She is also familiar with EOPS and DSPS and presents regularly at workshops. She has experience and a special interest in multicultural counseling. The several facets of her background and training in addition to her enthusiasm and dedication make her an excellent role model for the students as well as an excellent professional for Mesa College.
