2-13-14 Tarin Marks OF- Honorable Mention
Marks, Mesa’s sophomore right fielder out of Granite Hills High School, went 5-for-8 for the Olympians in three games. She had four doubles and scored two runs.
2-25-14 Jennifer Carpenter P- Honorable Mention
Carpenter, a freshman pitcher/designated player from Steele Canyon High, shut out Mt. San Jacinto 6-0 on a one-hitter, beat San Diego City 12-3 and doubled in two of four non-conference losses during week.
3-10-14 JAZLYN HALLARE WOMEN’S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference has named San Diego Mesa tennis player Sophia Najera and Mesa softball player Jazlyn Hallare as Women’s Athletes of the Week.
Hallare, Mesa’s freshman right fielder from Cathedral Catholic High, went 9-for-14 for the week. She went 2-for-4 in a 5-4 win over Grossmont, was 1-for-2 in an 8-0 win over Imperial Valley and went 6-for-8 in a doubleheader split with Glendale (a 14-9 win, a 13-4 loss).
3-24-14 Allana Hille SS- Honorable Mention
Hille, a sophomore shortstop from Morse High School, went 3-for-7 for the week as the Olympians’ lead-off batter. She made a spectacular catch to preserve Mesa’s 6-4 upset win over Southwestern, when the ball bounced off of her glove on a low pop-up beyond shortstop and she dove and caught the ball with her bare throwing hand.
4-1-14 Tarin Marks OF- Honorable Mention
Marks, a sophomore centerfielder from Granite Hills High, went 4-for-7 for the week and hit a huge home run that helped the Olympians rally to beat Southwestern 10-6.

HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE THIS 2012 SEASON!! SD MESA SOFTBALL OLYMPIANS WON 1ST PLACE IN PACIFIC COAST ATHLETE CONFERENCE! THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED SINCE 1987. THE TEAM WENT 28-10 OVERALL WITH THE HIGHEST WINNING PERCENTAGE EVER AT MESA WITH A .737% WINNING PERCENTAGE AND THEY WENT 12-3 IN LEAGUE.
