Ms. Lester received a B.S. degree in Physical Education at San Diego State University, and a M. Ed. degree with an emphasis in Physical Education at Azusa Pacific University.

Ms. Kim Lester has been Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Idaho State University, and University of Oklahoma. She has also served as an Instructor of Physical Education and Assistant Coach at San Diego City College and Southwestern College. She served as Head Women's Volleyball at Saddleback College for three years.

Kim has worked with students from many diverse backgrounds and at various levels of skill. She has been successful in the area of classroom instruction as well as coaching. She comes to Mesa College from the UNLV volleyball program where she was the top coaching assistant. Her expertise is in recruiting, scheduling, training and game-day preparations. Lester was the head volleyball coach at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California from 1997-99. During her time at Saddleback, the team was consistently ranked as one of the top community college teams in the state of California. In her first season as head coach, she was named coach of the year and her team won the conference title. Her 1998 team finished second in the conference and also earned second place in the California State Championships.
