PHIL 108 Perspectives on Human Nature and Society

Description: This course explores the topics of human nature and human societal configurations. Material for study may be selected from classical and contemporary thinkers. Studies in this course survey representative theories and philosophical reflections that explore the relation between theories regarding human nature and the nature of society, the state and government with an emphasis on experiential elements of meaningful human existence, and notions of ideal society. This course may be of particular interest to students pursuing studies in behavioral, social or political science.
