Description: This course is a survey of urban geography. Emphasis is placed on the evolution, function and form of American and world cities. Topics include social, economic and technical forces that shape urban development and the role of urban planning in a variety of cities around the world. This course is designed for Social Sciences majors and all students interested in geography and urban planning.
