Description: This course is a study of pattern drafting by computer utilizing software designed for home and small business use. Emphasis is placed on various approaches to garment design and pattern drafting. Topics include comparisons between hand-drafting techniques and computer-aided techniques, pattern packet preparation and copying ready-to-wear garments. This course is intended for fashion design students and students interested in creating original patterns for small business purposes.
