DRAM 132 Beginning Acting

Description: This course is a beginning level study, practice and execution of the fundamentals of acting designed to develop a foundation in basic acting technique. Emphasis is placed on the effective communication of ideas and emotions by a dramatic character to audience. Topics include staging techniques, improvisation, theater games, scenes, monologues, stage movement, and an introduction to the lexicon of acting for theater. This course is intended for students who are interested in developing basic acting techniques.
