CHIC 201 The Indigenous Tradition of Mexico and Ancient Mesoamerica

Description: This course examines the Indigenous traditions of Mexico and Ancient Mesoamerica. The course explores the culture and history of the Mesoamerican civilizations and their relationship with the societies of Aridamerica and Oasisamerica, and the experiences of the Indigenous communities from the colonial times to the present. This course is intended for students who are pursuing a major in Chicana and Chicano Studies, History, Ethnic Studies, or other Social Sciences, and all students interested in the Mexican culture.
