 Workshops & Events 

Ready to Transfer Screening workshop

This workshop will help Fall 2021 applicants prepare for the CSU application.  It is important that you have all your documents with you when you start the applications, understand your major preparation requirements and degree goals at Mesa as well as at the school you are applying to. Click on the workshop date and time to register for the workshop. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Please complete this survey BEFORE you sign up to the CSU application Workshop. Your organization and pre-planning will assist us with a smooth CSU Application process. This will be your confirmation to move on to the virtual CSU application workshop

TAP workshop

The UC TAG application deadline is September 30th.  If you plan on completing the TAG you must submit the TAG through UC TAP by September 30th and apply to the UCs of your choice by November 30th. It is a two step process. This workshop will assist you with completing the UC TAP and the TAG. Click on the workshop date and time to register for the workshop. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

CSU Campus Week

The CSU Chancellor’s Office and all 23 campuses are excited to provide an alternative to in-person college fairs. CSU Week will take place October 5th through Ocotber 9th. Each campus will present a short live session to provide a campus overview, information about the admission process and a question and answer portion. Pre-registration is required. The registration links and a downloadable post card to promote the sessions can be found here.

CA PRIVATE SCHOOLS TRANSFER WEEK

CA Private School Transfer Week ( AICCU Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities) will take place on September 21st trough September 24th. 40 AICCU colleges and universities will present separate sessions for high school and community college students. Each campus will hold a 30 minute session for both transfer and first-time freshman audiences. Registration links, capacity, waitlists, and recorded sessions vary by campus and is noted on the schedule of events. You will find registration links and event information on this page.

SDEC ( SAN DIEGO PRIVATE SCHOOL FAIR)

The San Diego Education Consortium (San Diego Private Schools) is participating in two Virtual Transfer Fairs. During the Virtual Transfer Fair you can chat with admissions representatives about majors, admission requirements, financial aid, scholarships and other transfer opportunities. These schools provide great options for transfer students who do not want to or cannot relocate and still want a quality degree and educational experience in some of the most impacted majors (Eg. Business and Psychology). Oftentimes these schools offer deeply discounted fees for adult degree completion programs which makes them very affordable.

REGIONAL ADMISSION COUNSELORS OF CALIFORNIA (RACC) VIRTUAL OPPORTUNITY 

 On October 6th 18 of RACC member institutions will present about transfer opportunities to their out-of-state institutions. Students can register for this event here. 5 Steps to Transfer and Career Workshop

If you are planning to transfer to a four year university, and if you want to make sure the major that you picked and the school that you plan to apply to is the best fit for you, this is a great workshop for you. This recording will give you some insight about transferring and picking a major.

UC San Diego University Link Workshop

A virtual session and powerpoint that covers requirements for for the UC San Diego University Link. A Guaranteed admission program between local San Diego Community Colleges and UC San Diego.

UCSD Transfer Pathways Workshop

This workshop covers admissions requirements to UCSD and information on how you can best prepare yourself. In addition, you will obtain information on creating an educational plan for transfer.
