Economic Justice Summer Fellowship
Students who are interested in learning how to do social justice work here in San Diego. The Center on Policy Initiatives' Students for Economic Justice Summer Fellowship is now accepting applications for this summer. This is a paid opportunity for San Diego's community college and university students to get experience in organizing and other social justice work. The deadline is February 26th, 2021.
National University ScHolars
Students can apply to the NU Scholars Program during this application cycle. It starts today and ends on Wednesday, October 21.
Community college students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7, completed 60 transferable units, and fill out the FAFSA. student can request the application by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with a copy of your transcript, indicating GPA and units completed.
The application asks for a letter of interest, resume, and two letters of recommendation. There are personal statement questions they must answer both written and orally (through uploaded YouTube links to their recorded videos). They are also asked to create a 6-minute presentation (prompt is in the application). Admitted students will be part of the January 2021 cohort.
NU Scholars receive leadership development training, high impact co-curricular practices (ePortfolio, community service learning), and experience high levels of student engagement.
