Professor Resch received his A.A. degree in Internet Technology/Software Development from Foothill College in Los Altos, California; a B.A. degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a M. A. in Physical Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
During the 2006-2007 academic year, Mr. Resch was an adjunct instructor at Santa Barbara City College. He established the water polo program for the college and developed and implemented new curricula for the beginning, intermediate, and advanced water polo classes. He also taught various fitness courses and developed a physical education website. From 2001-2006, he was the Head Men's Water Polo Coach at Foothill College. He created and implemented conditioning programs and provided technical analysis for instruction, as well as academic and athletic guidance for approximately twenty student-athletes. He was also directly responsible for recruiting, game and practice scheduling according to the rules of the Commission on Athletics.
Since January, Nathan Resch has also worked at the Santa Barbara Water Polo Club. He has been the head coach for the water polo, swimming and conditioning programs for high school age students. In 2005-2006, he held a similar position at the Stanford Water Polo Club. He provided skill, technical analysis, and team tactics instruction to more than 100 athletes ranging from 10-18 years of age. He also provided guidance to high school students on NCAA rules related to recruiting, signing, and registering with the NCAA clearinghouse.
Mr. Resch has other administrative experience as well. From 2001-2006, he was a Space Coordinator for Stanford Student Housing. He was responsible for developing, enforcing correct procedures, and recordkeeping for approximately four million square feet of student housing. He used specialized software and provided web, database, and other support for the program.
