Dr. Krown obtained a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, an MS in Animal Science from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona and a PhD degree from the University of Arizona. He has been a postdoctoral fellow at both the University of California, Riverside where he studied the role of prolactin as an autocrine growth factor and at San Diego State University where he studied cardiac hypertrophy and apoptosis. He has obtained several research and instructional grants from government and private agencies. His work has resulted in several publications in refereed journals, and a book chapter. Dr. Krown has presented papers at local and national meetings. He has taught courses in Anatomy, Physiology, General Biology, Cell Biology and Medical Histology. He is currently a member of the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society. His hobbies are music, camping, hiking, sports and gardening.
