Scott Starbuck received his B. S. in English from Westem Oregon State College and his M. F. A. in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University. Students at Glendale Community College in Arizona voted him "Teacher of the Year." In 2004 he was a Writer-in-residence at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology on Cascade Head near Lincoln City, Oregon. His work has been published in seven countries including Australia, Canada, England, India, Ireland, Poland, and widely in the United States. Some of it is available online at High Country News, The Bathyspheric Review,The 2River View, Blood Orange Review, and the Nature Writing section at The Raven Chronicles Web site. He said creative nonfiction is his favorite class to teach as an Associate Professor of English at San Diego Mesa College.
