On 4/28/10, the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education made the decision to put the San Diego Mesa College PTA Program on Probationary Accreditation - Public Disclosure Notice. Program admission has been suspended until further notice. Due to this suspension, no orientation sessions will be held during the 2010-2011 academic year.
The Physical Therapst Assistant (PTA) program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
Prepares the student for employment as a PTA. The PTA, working under the supervision of a registered physical therapist, assists in the provision of physical therapy services prescribed by a physician, such as electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, massage, therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation activities.
Orientation Sessions No orientation sessions will be held during the 2010-2011 academic year.
RSVP's are not required for attendance at the one-hour orientation session.
