Weeklong Performances, Events, Workshops Honor Student Vets at San Diego Mesa College

With 1,200 students receiving veteran’s benefits each semester, San Diego Mesa College has one of the largest student Veterans populations of all public and private higher education institutions in the nation. The college will honor its student veterans during weeklong events held Monday through Thursday, Nov. 7-10.

 

The events will open with the Kearny High School Army JROTC and a keynote address from Professor Donald Abbott, Retired Commander, USN, comments from student veteran Nicholas Todd and a flag ceremony. Workshops, resource booths and talks will continue throughout the week, culminating with a musical tribute by Mesa College students.
