Mesa College students will honor their student veterans on Thursday, Nov. 11 in the Mesa College Cafeteria Quad. Veteran students are encouraged to wear their unit or branch colors and enjoy free lunch and dessert, hosted by the Associated Students Government and Argosy University.  The Mesa Honors Club is providing dessert. Veterans, active duty, reserve, spouses and dependents are invited to attend.

 Speakers include:

  • Melodie Alvavez, a military spouse at Columbia College, who will speak about her experiences and about her husband, a soldier who recently received the Purple Heart.
  • Maurice Wilson, Retired Master Chief (MCPO USN Ret). Mr. Wilson currently serves as the Director of National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. which created the "Reboot" program that helps veterans transition to civilian life.
