Have a four-legged critter in your family that can use a soapy scrub or know someone interested in a career in animal health? Or maybe you just want to find out more what goes on behind the Animal Health Technology compound at just off the main Mesa campus at the corner of Marlesta and Genesee? Well, grab your two- and four-footed friends and bring them along to the free open house at the San Diego Mesa College Animal Health Technology Program facility happening Saturday, May 3. While the critters enjoy a luxurious bath, humans can tour the facility, meet the staff and animals (and maybe even the resident llama). An orientation session will acquaint interested students with the associate degree program that trains students for employment as a veterinarian assistant in private facilities, biomedical research institutions, regulatory agencies, and zoological parks. (Donations of towels and newspapers are appreciated.)
OPEN HOUSE! Sat. May 3 9 a.m. to 1 pm.
