Celebrate Constitution Day at San Diego Mesa College

San Diego Mesa College brings the Constitution alive with a lecture by UCSD’s Dr. Robert Horwitz, Constitution discussions, free booklets, and displays at the Learning Resource Center (LRC) lobby and the bookstore.

On Sept. 17, Constitution Day, Horwitz will discuss the phenomenon of Constitutional balance and American conservatism in the time frame of 1980 to present day. Horwitz’s most recent book, America’s Right, examines the form of American conservatism that infuses the Tea Party movement in its efforts to control the Republican Party’s political agenda. The lecture will be held from 12:45 to 2:30 p.m. in Room I4-213.

All events are free of charge and open to the public. For information, call 619-388-2699.
