Through December 7 – The Mesa Supper Club. Gourmet dinners are created and served by students in the gourmet restaurant portion of the Mesa College Culinary Art/Culinary Management Program. Full course meals include soup, salad, entrée and dessert for only $14. Eat in or take-out available, but please bring a reusable take-home bag. Lunch service featuring fresh fish, chicken, certified Angus beef, homemade desserts and more, all created and served by students of the Mesa College Culinary Art/Culinary Management Program. Through November 9 – Unearned Intimacies. Featuring three Southern California artists -- David Fobes, Michele Iversen, and K.V. Tomney -- showing in photography, drawing and mixed media. The artists, working in various art forms and from far different perspectives, create new ways of looking at how we live and view our private lives and how those moments can be rendered public, with or without our knowledge. Artenstein's talks will focus on the process of constructing documentary and feature films, his past films and projects and his latest undertaking, a documentary production of Prof. Michael Ornelas' book, The Sons of Guadalupe: Voices of the Vietnam Generation and Their Journey Home. 9/17 – Constitution Day Special Presentation with SDCCD Chancellor Constance Carroll and Congressman Bob Filner. SDCCD Chancellor Constance M. Carroll on will open Constitution Day events with a talk on “The Significance of Constitution Day” Following, Congressman Bob Filner will present “Arizona's SB 1070, The US Constitution, & Human Rights” a discussion on Arizona's new state law regarding undocumented residents, their children and its intersection with the 14th Amendment's definition of citizenship.
