Join the SDCCD for the San Diego Pride Parade!

Students, Faculty, and Staff are invited to join the San Diego Community College District
as we march in the 2014 San Diego Pride Parade

 

  • Saturday, July 19, 2014
  • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • The parade route begins at the Hillcrest Pride Flag located on University Ave. and Normal St.
  • Free t-shirts for the first 100 participants. 
  • Parking is available at the Old Naval Hospital and at the City College Parking Structure. Free shuttle located at the Old Naval Hospital.

 We are hoping for a great turnout, so we've provided some information to assist you in joining us:

1.   When do I arrive? SDCCD and the Colleges and CE will begin lining up at 9:00 am, The parade starts at 11:00am.

2.  Where do I go?

      Line-up Information:  We have been placed in Zone J - Contingent 151 (see attached map for more information, look for signs and staff on the day of the event for additional directions)  To locate SDCCD, use the Parade Contingent Entrance on Park Blvd and Centre Street.

3. How do I get there?

4. What do I wear?

We have 150 t-shirts' for participants that will be given out at the parade. Please wear comfortable shoes and a t-shirt or other college or district apparel just in case we run out of t-shirts'. If you don't have any, just wear comfortable clothes, and remember your hats and sunscreen.

5. How long is this event?

 Estimated parade length: 1.1 miles.  The parade begins at the Hillcrest Pride Flag at University Ave. and Normal St., proceeds west on University Ave., turns south on 6th Ave., turns left onto Balboa Dr. and ends at Laurel St. Shuttles are available at the end of the parade route to return participants to various locations.
