MISSION STATEMENT*
The mission of the Committee on Global Awareness is to integrate an international/intercultural dimension into the teaching, learning, and service functions of San Diego Mesa College. This mission encompasses three major strands: (a) globalization of the curricula, (b) facilitation of international movement of faculty and students concerned with training, and professional development, and (c) promotion and facilitation of programs abroad in services, vocation, and education.
It is critical for community college students to acquire the knowledge and competencies necessary to succeed in a global community.
