Loss of a Mesa College Student

We are saddened to share that our Mesa College family experienced the loss of one of our students following a fall in the Learning Resource Center on Monday afternoon, May 13, 2013. Emergency services responded immediately; unfortunately the student passed away from the injuries.

Crisis counseling is available in front of the LRC over the next few days and in the Health Center I4-209 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon-Thurs, and 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday. Also available is a community crisis line, 1-800-479-3339. In addition, for employees, the Employee Assistance Program is available for counseling services, 1-888-625-4809.

To respect the privacy of the student and her family, no further information will be released at this time.
