This 200 HOUR online and lab course is designed to prepare the Heath Information technologist with current experience in for "Practice Workflow and Information Management Redesign Specialist". Course material is based on standardized national curriculum designed to prepare a workforce equipped to serve the emerging needs of the healthcare industry as it evolves. This certificate program will equip you to work as a healthcare support specialist providing on-site user support before, during and after implementation of health information technology systems.
Students who successfully complete this online course will be issued a certificate of completion and a set of competencies.
Application criteria are based on skills sets that are developed through education and/or experience specifically related to INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY and/or HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY.
Individuals applying for admission to this training MUST meet one or more of the criteria listed below:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Information Technology, Health Information Technology, or Computer Science with 2 years of experience in information technology systems
- Associate degree in Information Technology or Health Information Technology with minimum of 2 years of experience in information technology systems
- Four years experience with Industry Certifications related to Information Technology Network systems experience
- Experience in systems development and project management
- Management experience in information technology and/or management
