Meetings
The Committee will meet at least monthly. More frequent meetings will occure as needed.
Purpose
The Strategic Planning Committee is a participatory governance committee that reports directly to President's cabinet. It is designed to advance the strategic planning work for the College. The committee's recommendations are submitted to President's Cabinet for review and adoption.
The objectives of the committee are to:
- Advance and align the strategic planning constructs of the College and ensure their integration into the planning and operations of the entire College;
- Distinguish the relationship between strategic planning and organizational planning;
- Assure planning appropriately informed by relevant internal and external indicators;
- Provide oversight for the College's compliance with WASC Accreditation Standards and the Commission's recommendations regarding the integration of the College's planning efforts;
- Assess the effectiveness of the alignment and integration of the College's planning activities; recomend and monitor improvements.
