Description: This course is an introduction to pharmacology for Allied Health and other interested students and includes an historical overview of pharmacology. Also covered are basic pharmacologic terminology and concepts such as drug categories, mechanisms of drug action, drug forms, and routes of administration. Generic and proprietary names are introduced for drugs prescribed for common diseases and disorders.
