Description: This course is designed to give students the opportunity to learn beginning and intermediate improvisational dance skills through the use of space, time, dynamics, and motion of body parts. Emphasis is placed on performance ability and technique. The student is involved in a structured dance performance in various situations and progresses to spontaneous movement in group and individual works. This course fulfills lower division requirements for dance majors. This course, in combination with Physical Education 177, may be taken four times for credit.
