Description: This course explores the problems associated with philosophy and philosophical activity as they are illustrated in the history of Western philosophy from the Renaissance period through the 19th Century. Studies in this course focus on representative thinkers of the Renaissance and/or Modern periods, their cultural milieu, and their attempts to resolve perennial philosophical issues and problems. This course may be of interest to students pursuing studies in History and Humanities.
