Description: A review of the non-industrialized people living in contemporary Latin America will include Native American Indian cultures in Mexico, Central America and South America in contrast with their peasant Mestizo neighbors, and in turn these cultures in contrast with urban counterparts. Contemporary anthropological research, ethnohistoric, historic and archaeological data will be used to discover the diversity of cultures throughout Spanish and Portuguese America.
