Description: This is the second semester laboratory course of a two course sequence in general chemistry. It is intended for students majoring in science or satisfying prerequisites for professional schools. The course illustrates the fundamental principles of physical and inorganic with some organic chemistry in terms of laboratory experiments. Topics included in the course are techniques of data analysis, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, acid, base, and salt, thermochemistry, electrochemistry, coordination chemistry, and organic chemistry. Wherever appropriate and whenever possible, computer skills are introduced and applied to data analysis, laboratory simulations, and computer interfacing with laboratory equipment.
