Description: This is a survey course in Music designed to Develop listening perception through lectures, recordings, films and concerts. The conceptual and stylistic differences in music from various periods and cultures will be examined through discussion of the elements of music as well as through discussions of ethnic, jazz, vocal, instrumental and 20th century music. This course is designed to support students in all majors who are interested in satisfying the general education requirements for Arts and Humanities.
