Description: This is a survey of Mexican history from the earliest pre-Columbian times to the present. Special emphasis is given to major historical developments from the time of the Spanish Conquest to the Revolution of 1910. In this course special consideration is given to the economic, political, social, and cultural factors which have shaped modern Mexico. This course prepares students for careers dealing with Mexico and/or Mexican culture.
