Description: In this course, students learn how to draft apparel patterns through the use of CAD software. They adapt hand pattern drafting techniques to the computer by building a basic sloper and applying pattern manipulations in order to create fashion patterns. Students work with a variety of pattern design software. They evaluate the functions and suitability of each program to apparel manufacturers and small business operations.
