Description: This course is an introductory study of the art and literature of the theater. Emphasis is placed on the examination and evaluation of dramatic texts in terms of genre, historical context, aesthetics and reception. In addition, this course introduces students to the technical aspects of the theatrical industry including production and personnel through campus drama productions and field trips. This course is designed for students majoring in dramatic arts and anyone interested in theatre.
