Description: This course is an introductory study of the history and complexity of the counseling relationship. Emphasis is placed on the skills required to be an effective counselor. Topics include various counseling approaches and settings as well as related legal and ethical issues. This course is intended for psychology majors and anyone interested in the therapeutic aspects of psychology/counseling.
