Description: This is a lecture course designed to acquaint the dental assisting student with the history, ethics, infection control and principles of dental radiographic production, including exposure and processing radiographs manual and digital. Intraoral and extraoral techniques, dental anatomy, landmarks, and dental fundamentals pertaining to dental radiography are presented. Radiographic interpretation, intraoral and extraoral photography, and the management of pediatric patients and patients with special needs are included. This course is for students who have been admitted to the Dental Assisting Program.
