CHEM 111L Chemistry and Society Laboratory
Description: This laboratory course is intended for non-science majors. It is designed to illustrate the principles of chemistry presented in Chemistry 111 in order for the student to understand how chemistry is used in our society. Experiments explore not only basic concepts in chemistry such as matter, energy, and the atom, but also explore real world applications of chemistry. This includes performing experiments related to the chemistry of the environment, household products, and biochemistry. Students learn how to work safely within the laboratory. Students who need to take further chemistry courses should enroll in Chemistry 152L or Chemistry 100L.
