Description: This is an introductory course in creative writing which focuses on the study of fiction and poetry. Students analyze technique in the works of professional writers and in their own original works. After submitting writing, students participate in informal discussion of their work, which includes helpful criticism from the class and the instructor. Increased writing skills help students prepare for careers in communication, education, writing, advertising, selling, journalism, law, business, and government.
