Description: This course is designed for the student in the Fitness Specialist Certificate to study the exercise implications for special populations related to age, medical condition and level of fitness. Emphasis is placed on cardiac conditions, diabetes, physical disabilities, HIV and AIDS, asthma, sensory impairments, seniors, children, athletes, mentally impaired and pregnant and post partum women and the issues and barriers to exercise.
