Name: Juan Ahumada

I am a: Sophomore attending San Diego Mesa College

I have also attended the following College(s): N/A

I am taking classes preparing to transfer to: San Diego State University or CSU San Marcos, majoring in Psychology and Communication

One of the reasons this area is of interest to me is because: Communication is interesting to me because I am curious about our ability to accept and adapt to relationship differences, and therefore I have learned a lot about adaptation. I have also enjoyed learning about topics in psychology and about different career options. I think most of what I've learned will help me eventually narrow down and identify a specific career interest.

Research Interest and Experience: (describe your experience working in a lab and/or your interest in Research) Summer 2010 I worked in the lab of Dr. Fantino at UCSD, investigating through experimentation ways people elect to distribute resources.

Being involved in the Bridges Program at Mesa College has been helpful to me in the following way(s): I appreciate the one-on-one counseling available each semester. It has been really helpful to me to get to know several faculty members on a more personal level. I also was happy to be able to earn money in the summer.
