Whats New 2013! BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!!!!
For the 1st time in the History of San Diego Mesa College the Softball Team won Back to Back Championships!!! Last year the team went 28-10 and this year went 30-8 with playoffs starting next weekend. The Olympians received the 7th seed for playoffs and will be hosting Cerritos at home Sat May 4th at 2pm and Sun May 5th at 12pm and 2pm if necessary. Coach Guidi is so proud of her teams accomplishments and is excited to host a home game for playoffs.

In the closest series of the weekend, the Olympians outlasted the Falcons in three games. San Diego
Mesa went up 1-0 on Cerritos on Saturday as they took advantage of some early Falcon errors to score
two runs in the bottom of the second, before adding an insurance run in the bottom of the fourth. On
Sunday, Cerritos rapped out 10 hits and closed strong, scoring all six runs in the final three innings to tie
the series up at one game each. In the third and final game of the weekend, Mesa, who trailed by four
runs at one point, rallied with three runs in the top of the seventh to send the game into extra innings,
and then won it in dramatic fashion in the eighth, thanks to a solo home run from Alexandra Mootry in
the top of the eighth that would be the deciding score.

SD MESA SOFTBALL TEAM ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!1ST PLACE IN PCAC CONFERENCE
HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE THIS 2012 SEASON!! SD MESA SOFTBALL OLYMPIANS WON 1ST PLACE IN PACIFIC COAST ATHLETE CONFERENCE! THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED SINCE 1987. ALSO THE TEAM WENT 28-10 OVERALL WITH THE HIGHEST WINNING PERCENTAGE EVER AT MESA. WITH A .737% WINNING PERCENTAGE THEY ALSO WENT 12-3 IN LEAGUE. THIS TEAM HAD SO MANY GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND MET ALL THEIR GOALS.

Becca Dawson moving on to Azusa Pacific, Kaeli Hunyady to Holy Names University to play, Gabby Naidas to Southern Oregon to get her degree, and Ciara Washignton will continue at Mesa in the Dential Higentist Program. Also we have a CONGRATS! to Kelsey McGowan our redshirt Catcher who verballed to Sonoma State!
