The Animal Health Technology program is accredited by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Veterinary Medical Board.

Animal Health Technology, the study of procedures for the medical care of animals, is a unique and challenging field. The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is an integral member of the veterinary health care team, enjoying a wide range of job responsibilities.

Graduates of the Animal Health Technology Program are eligible to take both the National Veterinary Technician Exam (NVTE) and the California Registered Veterinary Technician Examination. Successful completion of both examinations is required before a candidate may become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California.
