Hi, my name is Jordan Volden. I am a second year student here at Mesa studying psychology.
My favorite hobbies include painting, roller skating, and hiking. I also really enjoy
trying new things, especially food! I wanted to join the Peer navigator program because
I wanted to make a positive impact in other people's lives. My first year at Mesa,
I had an amazing PN of my own, who really helped me throughout the school year and
helped me learn most of the ins and outs of college. I hope to help my students the
same way she helped me, while also making lifelong connections and friendships. I
hope to transfer to SDSU and major in Psychology and minor in art. Some advice that
I would give to future students is to get involved to find things that interest you.
Also, to take your time and work at your own pace. Life is not a race it's a marathon,
so don’t get discouraged if you feel like others are ahead of where you are. It is
not a bad thing to take a breather every now and then. :)
