CRUISE Program Mission

Creating Rich Unique Intellectual Student Experiences (CRUISE) aims to prepare and engage new, incoming students through a three-day, on-campus experience. Participants will successfully identify resources necessary to excel academically, connect with other first-time students, and get to know faculty through informal meeting spaces leading to a sense of belonging.

  • Meet other students, and your personal Peer Navigator
  • Work one-on-one with faculty who are committed to student success
  • Get exposure to campus resources, student programming, and clubs
  • Participate in academic and counseling workshops with faculty and staff
  • Receive support for your entire academic year at Mesa

The summer CRUISE was very helpful. It helped me familiarize myself with the campus and introduced me to many resources.

- Priscila Chagolla, CRUISE Alumni

The guidance that I got from having a Peer Navigator made it a lot easier to adjust to college life after graduating from high school.

- Al’Asia, CRUISE Alumni

They did a campus tour for us and tried to make us comfortable, so I felt prepared to start studying at Mesa.

- Sean Ha, CRUISE Alumni

The best part of CRUISE was meeting new people who I eventually ended up in the same class as--which is helping me now.
