The goal of the Office of Communications is to present and brand San Diego Mesa College as a vital educational and community resource to further support the goals and strategic directions of the college. It is responsible for providing information about the college and its programs across print, media, web, mobile and social media platforms.

WEB, PRINT AND DIGITAL MEDIA

This department responsible for providing information and promoting Mesa College and its programs and people through a variety of means, including the campus sdmesa.edu web page, the Visix digital monitors located throughout the campus, and through maintaining the official college social media platforms. In 2014, the department launched the iMesa Mobile app, available free through Google Play and the iTunes Store. The office is responsible for the production of major print pieces and marketing materials, including the Annual Report to the Community and the campus e-News digital e-zine.

SERVICES FOR MEDIA

The Office of Communications serves all media inquiries that deal with issues and topics involving San Diego Mesa College. We facilitate interviews, fact check, generate news tips and feature stories, as well as provide photos through our photo library and help arrange video footage and provide B-roll through our Youtube Channel. The Mesa College NewsRoom is a one stop shop for media, with contacts, faculty experts lists, links, facts and more. Check it out and sign up for our RSS feeds.

Whether it's a flyer, postcard, e-marketing, web or print campaign, the communications staff can help you decide what you need to best meets your goals. Better still, we can help you to create a comprehensive marketing plan to best create awareness of your program and reach your target audience, within budget and on-time. We can also publicize your upcoming events, brainstorm about public relations opportunities, and contact the media about new programs, services and student success stories.
