The 2014 Graduation (May 17, Jenny Craig Pavilion, 4 PM) honors Distinguished Alumni Linda and Carlos LeGerrette.  They are 4th and 5th generation San Diegans, and graduated from Mesa in 1969.  While students at Mesa, they formed the M.E.Ch.A Club, a student organization founded on the principle of self-determination.  This is still an active club on campus!   In the 1960's, as a young married couple, they joined Cesar Chavez in fighting for the rights of farmworkers.  Decades later, they created Cesar Chavez Service Clubs across San Diego to honor the labor leader's life and commitment to community service.  The Union Tribune recently honored the LeGerrettes with the Latino Champions Lifetime Achievement Award for their dedication to serving their community and developing future leaders.

We are proud they are part of the Mesa family!

SAVE THIS DATE! November 8, 2014.  It is Homecoming at Mesa!  The day begins with a 5K run across campus!  Soon there will be a link from this site to register for the race.

A Street Fair will be in the parking lot - including FOOD TRUCKS!.  Everyone is welcome! Tables are available to individuals, families, neighbors, businesses, and partners to sell gently used items and new items.  Are you "crafty?"  This is the place for you!  Holiday shopping begins at the fair! There will be a slight charge for the tables.  Contact Anne Zacovic ( azacovic@sdccd.edu) for more information.

The Homecoming Game begins at 2:00 PM - Mesa vs Compton College! Come and cheer on the Olympians!

The proceeds from this day will support emergency assistance for our veteran students!  Emergency assistance can keep a veteran in college, helping them achieve the life they fought so hard for!
